We just had an uncomfortable chat about my future. It’s so quiet that he is basically paying me to do nothing. I haven’t lost my job yet, but if the mortgage market doesn’t pick up soon, it looks like my time here will be over. (There’s only me and him in the Company)

On the bright side, it’s nearly Christmas and I could always sell a kidney! ;)

I want to become a math teacher regardless of the pay. I’ll have enough to live comfortably. Besides getting high grades and good scores what other things can I do in college to improve my chances of getting a good job when I get out?
What types of experience can I get for a future teaching career?

Which of the following scenarios are the LEAST and the MOST damaging to your future job prospects?

bonzo_dog asked:

In each of the following, you’re unemployed at the beginning of the year and at the end.

1. You get one job that last six months, and get fired from it.
2. You get TWO jobs each of which last about six months, and get fired from both of them.
3. You are unemployed for the entire year.

Assume that the firings are somehow performance-related (not mere layoffs), but not for any sort of malfeasance, e.g. it could be that they didn’t think you could work quickly enough, but not for goofing off.

Love them or **** them, the Yankees take care of their own, like when they got Bernie Williams guitar lessons after watching people blow 85 mph fastballs by him on a nightly basis.

I’m a senior in high school, and I’m planning to attend a community college for two years before entering a university or anything like that. I’m interested in entering public relations in the fashion industry, as in producing fashion shows. But I don’t know exactly what courses I should be taking in community college to prepare for this? Please help?

Thanks!
