Would Community College effect future job oppurtunities?

future firm
mckie_ds3 asked:

Just wondering because Im probably going to need to go to community college for 2 years and then transfer to a university. I was also wondering if salaries were lower or whether or not big firms would hire people who had transferred.

I don’t think it would hurt you, as long as you continue on to a 4 year university – that is where your degree and upper level credits are coming from.

No, of course not! The only thing that matters is that you do the best that you can at this community college. Then transfer to a good school and keep up the good work.

having some education is better than having no education when it comes to any job

When you’re writing your resume just don’t include that you went to a community college.

Not terribly! About the salary and big firms, theres going to be a lot of competition… so you might not do so well against, say, someone who went to a University. And then there are all the Ivy League students!
