Margaret 003 asked:
I read this article that by the year 2014, there will be a lot more jobs in the performing arts area. Like acting, musical, drama, exc. Is this true. Has anyone else heard this. I hope this is true. Im thinking of going to a performing arts college.

Maybe the economy will change in some way? idk…
i think i read that somewhere……………
well there better be cause i’m doing acting too!
hi five sister!
YES IT IS TRUE! think about this… there are constantly people retiring and companies are always looking for new talent. so yes the arts its always a good future!!!
that might be true, but as of right now Performing arts is a hard thing to excel in. there are a LOT of people out there who are all VERY good at what they do, and it takes good connections and talent to get anywhere that you might feel “comfortable.”
Right now “local” type bands are having a hard time making any money… people just aren’t spending the money to go see people for entertainment right now. it will change and get better at some point, but as of right now the industry is a little squeezed.
All I can say is make as many contacts as you can make, be nice to them, always be humble but also be confident. Work as hard as you can to be the best you can be.
