It is very possible and actually a great major if you are planning to be a premed. Possible jobs could be as a neuroscience researcher (which requires a Ph.D) or as a physician (which requires med school). Jobs right out of college could be working for a pharmaceutical company or in a university as a research assistant.
You most likely will have to take all of the classes required of any premed student (2 semesters biology, 2 semester general chemistry, 2 semester organic chemistry, 2 semesters physics, genetics, cell biology, etc.), but it varies depending on the school. You would also take classes specific to neuroscience like development neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, lab techniques, and neural mechanisms of disease, etc.
I am a neuroscience undergrad at UM, and I can tell you that it is one of the more challenging majors you can take, but it definitely gives you a head start to getting into grad or med school.
