Brandon G asked:
Can someone help me understand the “BIG 4” accounting firms, and what their presence means to entrepreneurs that want to open an accounting firm? If I was a Lawyer, and had a good client base I could open a law firm and then get it to grow with hopes of one day becoming very big, but with the presence of this big 4 thing ever since Sarbanes Oxley, has it affected a budding accounting firms ability to grow like a Law firm might be able to?

the big4 is irrelevant to small localized firms, which is how all independent CPA firms start out (Big 4 thing?) – It was the Big 8 when I was in college and they had no bearing on my work career once they didn’t hire me
