well, it will definitely make your ears stand out more! but it sounds like you are trying to detract attention from your ears… this being said, I think it would be wise for you to refrain from doing this , or at least wait a few years to make sure that this is something you really want to do. Another thing to keep in mind is your future profession. Can you see yourself going to a forty-year old doctor with huge holes in his ears and big, black earrings in them? what about a stockbroker?? if you can;t, I wouldn’t do it. hope this helps!

To be honest with you, if you’re questioning stretching at all, you really shouldn’t do it- though I can understand the whole employment aspect.
Stretching can very well be permanent, especially once you get past 2g so, when you stretch, you should fully be prepared for having them forever.

Like already said, some places don’t care about ear piercings, or piercings at all, but then there’s some that do.

Jobs like working at a restaurant, fast food place, coffee shop, or anything where teens are the predominant age group employed… then it’s usually not so much of a problem.
But office jobs, and others like that usually have restrictions.

With that being said, there are silicone hider plugs (flesh colored) that you can wear. They don’t make them invisible, but help a lot.

No gauges and no sleeves (tattoos). It totally ***** that there are these stuffy old people out there, but those stuffy old people are always the ones who give you your job. My rule for career success is no tattoos or piercings that can be seen and not taken out (sometimes earrings are cool with employers, though). And don’t get a piercing that leaves an obvious hole when you take it out. That’s just if you care what others think (I admit that I do).

Keep in mind even if you do these things I listed, you’ll at least never be accused of not having integrity (I’m a wimp).

Someone said that Wal-Mart is cool with it, and I’m sure they are, but a lot of places won’t. Just understand that before you do whatever you do.

Eh, my 6gs havent been a problem. I got them while I was working at Gamestop and all I had to do was switch to my stud plugs instead of tapers and such when I had to go to work. If you go for an interview I would put in studs. At Hot Topic, most of the gauges they sell come with studs.

if you want to work in a tattoo shop the rest of your life, awesome. those things look cool. but if you want to work in an office, you wont even make it past the interview. thats the cold reality. this world is a shallow shi77y judgemental place where looks are everything. so if you want to work in a tattoo parlor, a smoke shop or a music trader, the gauges will totally rock. if u want a real job, pass. u can wear em for 4 years or til ur outta college, i heard the hole closes, but as big as ive seen some of em, seems like the skin would hang terribly, ugh. i say pass.

Do ya mean you want to stretch your lobes so you can wear large gauge plugs in them?

If so, it might affect future job options. It really depends in the area you live in, and what you want to do for a job.

I work at a WalMart and they have no problems with all my large gauge ear piercings. But some place only allow small gauge ones or no ear piercings.

Just look at the people who work in your area. If you find that many of them have large gauge ear piercings, you will more then likely be fine.
