How should i possible employer regarding interview?

future firm
daytondaveman asked:

Ok, around a month ago i applied for a job that i really want. I receieved an interview, everything went great. I was told at that time that i passed the interview, but that they already have taken in all the people they need for this time. That if i had came in a few weeks earlier i could have started right away. They told me they were putting my name and info in what they called a “job pool or job bank” i forget exactly how they worded it. They told me i could get a call from them to start a week from then, or then again it could be a few months down the road. They just couldnt give me a firm date due to the nature of the way their hiring is done.
I contacted them around 2-3 weeks ago, got the same basic info. I want to give them a call again today, but i dont want to seem too pushy. How can i word this when i call?
Should i say
“I was curious if i am still being considered for possible employment in the future”.
I know this is a long post, im just uncertain on what to say.

That sounds fine. Keep looking for a job – it doesn’t sound like this will work out.

You’re not being too pushy at all-in fact by calling back you’re
showing initiative that may get you a job all the sooner.
Keep looking, though, who knows how long it might take.

Yes, yes… its sound fine… however. don’t over do it. If you’re talking to someone in the HR department, let me tell you that they will take the call but don’t do it too often because they have other things to carry on
