im planning on double majoring in homeland security, and political science i should graduate in 2011. im a male, i look white, but am actually arab. i speak arabic, and am learning to read and write it. anyone with a strong knowledge of the field would be great?
will i be able to find jobs coming out of college, and what type of jobs are going to be in demand by then? thank you

    If you get all of the credentials you are pursuing, you will have opportunities in both the government (such as projects under USAID or with the State Department) and business/private sector. You will need certification for your Arabic skills to be considered a person who speaks Arabic, let alone reads and writes it. You also need as much practical experience as you can get — academics aren’t enough. Volunteer with organizations (nonprofits focused on international affairs, the local police department, etc.) to gain real-world experience.

    You might look into going to work for the FBI or CIA considering you speak arabic. You could get paid good money.

    Arabic translators are greatly needed.
