Do the 14 to 18 year olds know that these are the best years of their lives to prepare them for the future?

future jobs
smilie says asked:

The teenage years is the period where they prepare for the great jobs in the future. China and India children are learning the TECHNOLOGY that our children must prepare for and are not. Education today is the most important activity and is very necessary for the future jobs in the world.

    Yes, we’re not ALL stupid.
I’m a 15 year old Sophomore taking all Junior or AP courses and I’m on the highest level of Honor Roll at my school.
So of course, I do know that I need to prepare for the future.
With my computer abilities, I’ve just recently snagged the amazing final project of being able to create a virtual universe of my school with my best friend and boyfriend. Gotta love the nerd kids. We’ll get farther in life.

Some of them aren’t being responsible and they don’t seem to think about what they are doing. They are young and think they are going to live forever (didn’t we all at that age?) They don’t always put the consequence with their action until it’s too late. But they do grow up sooner or later, by the system if not on their own.
