My little brother was caught with weed the other day, and got a ticket for it.

It says use of drug equipment, and possession under one ounce.

His court date is in 2 weeks,
should he take diversion, or should he pay the fine.

We already know the fine will be about 100 dollars.

He’s 19.

How long will it stay on his record, & how will it affect
his future getting jobs?
It is his first time

I am going to court soon for a first offense minor theft charge with a clean record. I’ve been told that ACS (alternative community service) will most likely be the result of our case. My question is in regards to my record. If that happens, will I maintain this record which would hurt my job prospects incredibly. Can I have it expunged or is getting ACS equivalent to pleading guilty? I am only worried about my future job prospects and paying a fine is not a concern.

I mean, thats the only thing they test for that stays in your body more than a few days. Drug testing companies have used Marijuana as a focal point to sell their products and services since drug testing started. Is it possible that small amounts of mariuana will become legal, therefore flipping the balance of these companies onto the truly dangerous drugs? And leaving me, a proud, family feeding, tax paying, pot smoking, hardworking American alone?
Cork, Im sorry but I believe if it were legalized, there would be legal constraint on when and where you could use it. On the job or in a vehicle should definately be illegal. Just like alcohol. Common sense?

I set up accounts with a fortune 500 company for my future and while they were setting up the acounts somebody got thier hands on all my paperwork, checks, Social Security number and made blank checks with all the information that I provided to this firm. We recieved a phone call from the police in a different state letting me know that all this paperwork was found by a thief and he had all my information. What are my rights and where do I find a lawyer to represent me for this horrific negligance??
