What do you think are the job prospects of a person who interned in a non-profit compared to a person who interned in a profit-based company? I’ve heard that non-profits are ‘sheltered environments’.

I will be going to Bangalore for an overseas internship, and I’m wondering whether it will enhance my future job prospects.

im planning on double majoring in homeland security, and political science i should graduate in 2011. im a male, i look white, but am actually arab. i speak arabic, and am learning to read and write it. anyone with a strong knowledge of the field would be great?
will i be able to find jobs coming out of college, and what type of jobs are going to be in demand by then? thank you
