I am a marketing major and I would like to find a job that will show future employers that not only do I have a degree in marketing but I have plent of experience also…I currently work as a catering consulantant/event manager and I deal with a little bit of marketing but does anyone have any ideas of a job that would really allow me to practice marketing and give me a good solid foundation in the field even before I get my degree?

I am a future mom-to-be and I am trying to find a suitable job to work from home. I do not want to put my child in daycare just yet. So, are there any mothers out there that work from home?..What do you do?..Or if someone knows how to find the legitate work from home jobs, could you please let me know. It would much appreciated. Classic story. In college, **** my low-wage job, desperately need money to pay bills, and I need it soon. (and I REFUSE to get embroiled in credit card debt) I’m thinking of being a cocktail waitress, probably at a strip club, but I’m concerned as to how future employers will view something like that. Does anyone know if it will really negatively affect me, or will most people look at the kind of employee I really am and judge me by that? I have a good resume, a lot of experience at respectable places, and generally ace job interviews.

I am actually an online stock trader; is that good enough for the future or you know something better that i could start to do?

My firend is former military and is grasping at available job opportunities, one of which includes a federal job. However, with an OTH, she’s not sure what federal jobs are open to her. How can we find out? The internet, as spiteful as it is with me, only gives me web pages that help former military tranlate their previous occupations to civilian standards, and that’s not what she’s trying to do–she wants ANYTHING!

I’m 3rd year college IT course graduating and I would like to know if is there a future for me when I graduated to that course? im not so good in programming. Now im planning to go abroad because I know here in the philippines I have no future. Any help would be appreciated.

Some friends and I got together and started talking about this one and realized that at least for the three of us haven’t been able to break out of the track that our first high school job put us on. I was in retail and still am despite having a degree and management experience. Another friend is trapped in the food industry. Still another, in secretarial work despite a masters degree in business management. Are we doomed by our first job I ask you?

I’ll only have a BBA in Finance and I’ve heard it’s hard to get a job in investment banking without MBA so what’s a job I should get in the meantime that will be useful to the future career in investment banking or private equity?
