I’m 14 and i would like to work for Apple in the future. I don’t know if i chose the best subjects for the job. I would like to work in Silicon Valley, California. The related subjects i chose were technical studies (programming and electrics) graphic communication , physics , spanish, chemistry , english and maths. I also stay in Scotland but i want to move to California. Anyone know how i can contact Apple?
What do you think is the best career to choose to study for future uses of computers replacing jobs?
Many cars are being built with more and more computer type parts. Everything is starting to be ran by a computer. Operators are now replaced with auto computers who understand what you say and how to direct your call. Those are just jobs lost. They’ve been in our lives for years and are now taking more and more jobs. What field can not be replaced by a computer? Lawyer, doctor, mother, or can even those functions be replaced with a bit more technology?
Some say that engineering jobs are rapidly being outsourced to China and India. What jobs in the engineering field are the ones to go?
I am very much weak in the programming sector, so I am keen to do job in Saudi Arabia after i complete my M.S in Electricals. But i am totally confused to choose the specialization so that i should get a good pay in a respected firm. The specialization which i choose should never get descended.
I’m an engineering student at a top school in engineering in the U.S. (top 20) and it seems that even still, it is hard for engineering students here to get engineering-related jobs like internships. I talked to a recent graduate in aerospace engineering who couldn’t find a job in the engineering despite a pretty decent 3.2 GPA. It seems like engineering firms are only looking at the very brightest to hire. Is it that hard to find a job in this sector?
I graduated with a degree in chemical engineering in 2005. In addition I have a 2 year diploma in mechanical engineering. My passion is oil and gas and over the past 1.5 after graduation I worked in the mining industry with instrumentation (no so much process control but selecting instrumetation etc). My boss at my old place as silly and did not train well. I recently ended up picking another job with a construction firm as a construction engineer, the good part is its in the oil and gas sector. The uncertain part is with a construction engineering designation can I later move on into the role of more rotating equipment engineer or process engineer. Considering construction engineer would plan, cost control, estimate and read contracts and help in construction (seems to me more civil). I hope picking up construction engineering work would be more in line with chemical/mechanical in contrast to instrumenatio nwhich was very electrical. Did I make a right move?
