Property Manager exploring alternate lines of work . What types of jobs should I consider in the future?
I have been a Property Manager for 20 years with no formal education. I am wondering what types of jobs will share similar skills that I should consider? I cannot be an on-site Manager since I am a homeowner now. I’ve been considering getting a degree but which one would be most desired to further my current expertise? Are there online colleges you’d recommend?
I primarily work in an office setting but often go outside the office to inspect homes, show homes and check repairs. I prefer that in/out combo so as to not be stuck in an office/cubicle all day although I may not have that choice priviledge.
Christina,
Thank you for your prompting question. I really want to be a house wife to my 3 kids, but since that’s not possible right now, I am doing what I’ve always done for my entire working career. If money was not an issue, I wouldn’t be working. But to connect a hobby and a job to do what I would love to do, that would be writing. I love to write and read but I’ve not pursued anything in that direction.
I also have so many hobbies that I love that it would be hard to choose. (Scrapbooking, photography, photo editing) but I don’t know if I love it so much to work in it. (Never thought about doing those things for a living).
Thanks for your input!

I am still young and in am in the F.B.L.A in my school and just won district and enjoyed it allot and i am doing research on my future job and i want to know what jobs are their in Business that have high salaries or the jobs that would make someone rich.
My firend is former military and is grasping at available job opportunities, one of which includes a federal job. However, with an OTH, she’s not sure what federal jobs are open to her. How can we find out? The internet, as spiteful as it is with me, only gives me web pages that help former military tranlate their previous occupations to civilian standards, and that’s not what she’s trying to do–she wants ANYTHING!
My girlfriend and I have been dating for over a year and will likely be married. Her father owns a successful business and will be retiring in the next couple years, he recently spoke with her about selling the business to her, but I would need to help with the purchase since I have a better job and more savings at this time. I have no experience and not a lot of interest in this type of business and currently have a successful career in another field. Although his business would be more lucrative then where I would likely end up, it would require relocation and most likely working there with my future wife which brings up other questions in itself. Do I try to find out more about this? Express no interest? Or try to continue my current career and offer to help with the purchase, even though I would not work there?
Ok, I have big ears, and I thought it would be a smart choice to get my ears pierced. I haven’t done it yet, since I want to make sure this wouldn’t affect future job possibilities. I’m 15, and gauges are where you wear larger and larger earings till your ear holes get bigger. I’m not sure if I should, and I think it might help my looks a bit. What do yall think?
When we are a complete socialized nation- what kind of jobs will there be for college grads? Most likely it will be a Government job, or painting roof tops white- or being a member of Obama’s civilian Army, but do you really need college to do those things- when you don’t have to use your brain- just do as Obama says?
I’m trying to find a course wherein that the career I get afterward pays off without any much competition. Any courses you know have jobs that could be the next booming demand in the future?
