I’m a Malaysian Chinese that study at Australia university in finance major n will graduate after this semester. As the pursuit of MBA in US in near future, i’m hoping to gain some entry experience from finance/investment related field in US. Does anyone know what r the best way to do it? As i participated in ‘work n travel’ in US b4 and under sponsor program, gaining a J-1 visa is not an issue for me, but are there any investment bank/firm(major or minor) willing to accept J-1 visa employee?
Or what are the chances of gaining a working visa under my background(ha, never…)? Kindly listen to any advice, thanks!

I work in private equity and have recently been told that there is not a future for me at the firm. My employer has offered to pay me for the next six months while I look for a job, but they are refusing to pay my bonus for 2006. My employer has drafted up documents that memorialize the arrangement for me to sign, but I’d like to have a lawer look at the documents first. Please let me know if you know a good labor attorney in New York that you’d recommend. Thanks!

I will be a junior at a university this upcoming fall semester majoring in Digital Technology & Culture. I think my main area of interests has to be between Web Designing and Graphic Arts, but I’m more focus onto Web Designing a bit more. I have a few concerns, and heads up before I graduate with a Bachelor:

1) In the next few years, I will be graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, how will I be able to get a job? I am planning on doing some interning, but should I also keep some sort of a portfolio with my works for future sake? And what are designing firms looking these days? Employers with great, fresh ideas? Someone who is fluent in the language of “Web Designing”? Or how about someone who already has clients? Remember, I will be graduating with a degree with no job experience in designing what so ever.

2) How should I go and make my portfolio? Should I print it, or make an actual website with stuff that I created?

3) It is best to be fluent in Web Designing and Graphic Arts?
