I am currently a fresh graduate with an economics degree. I couldn’t decide which job offer to accept, the tough choice is between working for a well known international bank in the consumer or corporate banking department, or to train as a futures and derivatives trader with a small firm. The reward from the futures and derivatives trader position is fantastic but i understand there’s a high amount of risk involved as well, therefore high risk-reward position.
I’m a first year student in college, thinking of getting both of my ears pierced. I always wanted to get them pierced so I’m planning to get them before I get older. However, would having piercings affect me in the short and long run ( the piercing holes because I’m definitely not wearing them to work, etc ), like internships for a business firm, finding jobs after college, and others?
Also, what do you think of guys with both of their ears pierced? Should I get them pierced? Girls, please answer!
Well I got a job offer at an independent brokerage firm in the financial district in NYC. The thing is I’m 19 years old a sophomore in college and have minimal financial experience. Does this sound like a fishy offer, why would they bring on someone so young. They mentioned that they would sponsor me for the series 7 certification, if i do receive it will that help me in any way in the future.
The exact question is ‘From the research you have done on our industry, how does our firm fit in with your career aspirations?’
I can’t think of what to write for this. Would I go on about them having a great quantitative analysis division or something? Please give me some ideas on what I could write. Thanks!
